And when I say family I mean from residence to the ladies at the front, the staff in the kitchen and dinning room, the afternoon and evening crew and of course to the handyman that does it all it seems (I’m not naming names because there’s too many and I wouldn’t want to miss anyone). How lucky we were to find Cedarwood Station. When we were in the preliminary stages of checking things out we dealt with Shannon Fetterly. Even though we weren’t quite ready to move, Shannon stayed in touch and kept us in the loop regarding vacancies, etc. Since my mom has moved in, she couldn’t be happier. We couldn’t be happier. “My Mom, Joan L. lived at Cedarwood Station for 5 years. In that time, she made many friends among the other residents and staff. She has now moved to a more secure facility due to her dementia but still talks of the people there. She may have forgotten their names but tells many stories of how they made her life so much better! Not just taking time out of their busy days to visit with her but ensuring she would have a laugh or a smile every so often, every day! The drives on the bus, the chocolates (one for each hand, of course) the encouragement, the that included holding her hand or giving a hug or just pictures they shared ( sometimes drew), and friendliness that to this day makes her smile often. We can’t thank the staff, all of them, for going above and beyond, to show so much caring, friendship, and help each and every day to all residents! Awesome hearts!!
